On January 11, 2021, at 4:11 pm, I received a text. The text read “Hey, Buddy! I commented a few times on your Facebooks posts for Autism Power that I’ve seen lately. I would love to chat and catch up. Let’s talk about the technology. Let me know a good time that works. Much love, Chad.”
On January 14th, 2021, I lost a colleague and a special friend. Chad was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School and Bowling Green State University. He spent 15 years as a teacher and a wrestling coach and, most recently, was a student advocate. He was awarded the Golden Shamrock.
Chad and I had discussed him coming to work with Autism Power. He loved our model and we were really on the same page in regards to empowering the autism and neurodiverse communities.
Sadly, Chad left us too soon. I think about him a lot and what we could have done together. He will remain in my heart and mind. He is the only guy I ever knew who pulled around a 60 inch mower behind an Escalade. We really bonded and I fully understood his spirit. I am lucky to have met Jenn and Aria. The three of them will always be in my heart. I miss you brother. Thanks, T.
P.S. Help us from heaven to be what you knew we would be. Autism Power will always love and miss you.
